FS Durrant at RAF Halton with the National Marching Band Easter Training Camp
During the first week of the Easter holidays, Cdt/FS Durrant spent the week at RAF Halton for the Easter Training Camp of the National Marching Band.
No.2 Welsh Wing was represented by both our FS Durrant but also Cdt/Sgt Farley of 2193 (Prestatyn) Squadron who’s camp was her first National Band camp.
FS Durrant is the first cadet on squadron and in No. 2 Welsh Wing to be awarded the new Progressive Training Syllabus Gold Musician Badge; with Sgt Farley the first on her squadron and in the wing to be awarded the new Progressive Training Syllabus Gold Drummers Badge.
The week of drill, music and the combination of the two in the form of Band Drill culminated in a 30 minute parade on Henderson Parade Square. The square on which RAF Airmen & Women have their passing out parade at the end of RAF Basic Training.
